I started this project as a 3D modeling study for props and their entire pipeline for Cinema. It was a final delivery exercise of the 3D Artist Profession Course for Films and Series at EBAC, with Professor Daniel Rivers.
For the creation of the prop I sought to bring a more dark side, but made with realistic textures and finishes. In which I brainstormed references for the creation.
To start creating the prop I started using ZBrush, in which I created the primary and secondary shapes, using DynaMesh and ZRemesher tools. After this step I imported the prop to Autodesk Maya, to open its mesh through UDIM, separating the UV from the pieces by the UV Tiles, then I used Substance Painter, in which I made the textures of the pieces from the mesh opened by through UDIM, making use of PBR and textures with 4K resolutions. Finally, I composed the rendered scene in Autodesk Maya, using the Quixel Bridge Megascans and rendering through Arnold, being an Offline render, and then I made the final adjustments in Photoshop.
